Voices from all walks of life are necessary to strengthen ThePAC’s purpose to improve health outcomes in communities of color. We understand that this can be accomplished in many different ways. As an organization that acknowledges and respects the freedom of choice to get involved in the way YOU best see fit, below are other ways Friends of ThePAC can amplify our vision to bridge the diversity gap in the classroom, clinic and communities.
Become a mentor
One important aspect of this support system is mentorship. We believe that mentorship can greatly amplify a person’s chances of success. Students need mentorship in topics that can range from preparing for PA school candidacy, acquiring patient care hours, ideas for shadowing, interview tips, career advice and encouragement.
Have a suggestion on ways you would like to contribute to our members? Whether it’s a
seminar on study skills or a how-to guide for PA-Cs to pay off their student loans, we
have a place for you! Submit your suggestion and we will get back to you.
One of our goals is to reduce the financial burdens that students of color disproportionately face as their journey through their PA goals. Your contribution goes towards helping aspiring PA students with the costs and fees associated with the PA school application process and current PA students with financial emergencies that may occur while they are in school.
